The BEA kids had a two-day library orientation on how to choose graded readers (books for second language learners) and how to borrow them from our library. When we first start in 2010, we had a mere 300 books in our collection, but now we have over 1000 for the students to choose from. For most of the BEA kids, this is the very first time to experience reading for pleasure and borrowing library books!!!
